Last week was English Wine Week so we thought it would be a good time to put England’s most famous vinous product - sparkling wine - to the test.
You may have heard blind tastings where English sparkling has come up trumps against rival Champagnes, and in tonight’s Tasting Without the Label it is your chance to be the judge.
Who will take the sparkling crown – England or France? Expect Louis Roederer, Joseph Perrier, Henners, Ridgeview and more.

PIWOSA – Premium Independent Wineries of South Africa, was set up with a view to further promote premium South African wine internationally. There are 15 farms collaborating on this initiative, and the week commencing 3rd June sees PIWOSA showcasing their fantastic collection of wineries through a series of wine dinners and tastings in London.
Of course Vivat Bacchus jumped at the chance to be involved, so we are proud to announce that Alex Dale of Radford Dale, Chris Mullineux of Mullineux Family Wines and Nicolas Bureau of Glenelly Estate will be here to tell you more about it over dinner. Four wonderful courses and seven of their top end wines will be served.
