Farringdon Vivat Bacchus
A suit's favourite, known for its excellent wine and cheese cellars

We launched Vivat Bacchus in Farringdon in August 2003 and have a wine bar, 80-seater fine dining restaurant and rooms for private parties and events.

There are more than 18,000 bottles in our five cellars, with a strong accent on fine South African wines from some of the Cape’s top winemakers.

We also have an excellent selection of French wines and some rare and wonderful vintages from Spain, Italy and the New World.

Cheese is very important to our customers, and we have two cheese rooms where our customers are invited to taste and select what they would like, helped by our team of experts.

In the wine bar and deli we serve tapas-style platters and specials that change daily, alongside the ever popular Vivat Bacchus steak sandwich, for a quick lunch.

The restaurant’s a la carte menu is changed every six weeks, and ranges from modern European to dishes inspired by the Pacific Rim and Africa. The private dining room also hosts specialist wine dinners hosted by some of the world’s foremost winemakers.

Group bookings are of course available but with higher numbers a set menu from our selection of set menus for larger parties will be required.
